🎟️ We’re All Tix’d Off, Fix The Tix Is Here To Help

Consumers are tired of feeling ripped off by ticketing fees. The Fix The Tix Coalition, being led in-part by NIVA, is taking a stand against price gouging and deceptive practices.

The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) previously led the charge on "Save Our Stages" that transformed into the Shuttered Venues Operators Grant Program. The new coalition has representation from a broad swath of stakeholders - from venues and promoters to artists and music managers - meaning this coalition is a force to be reckoned with.

Changes are coming to the ticketing industry. It will be interesting to follow over the next year to see what the new landscape will look like.

🤖 Matchmaking and Personalization: AI in Events

Events all across the industry have been starting to implement artificial intelligence tools. Skift Meteings’ Event Technology Made Simple report this year asked organizers for the ways they are implementing AI into events.

Some of the most interesting use cases are matchmaking between attendees and personalized content suggestions. AI still has many issues, but it is improving rapidly. Any event organizer should be thinking about how they can leverage this technology in their events.

🏈 NFL Draft Goes Big(er)

This year’s NFL fan experience, held in Kansas City, expanded to the biggest to date. The Draft NFL Draft Theater was the largest in the league’s history. It hosted the team selections but also a concert series presented by Bud Light.

They took things to the next level in many ways, even pumping smoke and charcoal-scented smells into GEHA Field to emulate the tailgate experience.
